Default Not able to match Security settings for BSNL wi-fi. Help please!

    hi,
I am using Teracom type II wi-fi modem and have enabled wireless LAN on it. My laptop detects the network and is able to connect (and access internet) only when it make it unsecured. I have tried various security options like (Wi-Fi Protected Access, WPA Mixed Mode, etc) but I think I am messing up making corresponding settings in my laptop. I need help in choosing the right set of complementary settings. Someone please guide...

The options I see in modem config page are:

    64 bit encryption
    128 bit encryption
    Wi-Fi Protected Access
    Wi-Fi Protected Access2
    WPA Mixed Mode

The options I have in my laptop wireless security dropdown are:

    Open
    Shared
    WPA
    WPA-PSK
    WPA2
    WPA2-PSK

Please tell me which set of option works.

Please post as annexure screenshot JPG
modem's connection status or device info.

WPA Mixed mode may work in both.

    Mention model/make/number of
    wireless ethernet card used.
If any security code was entered in router
do you get message asking for the security code
    in wifi network /
    any error message.?

I sat down to take the screen-shots and tried my luck with 'WPA Mixed Mode' one last time.. and Voila!

It seems to be working now. Essbebe - looks like you are a man of midas touch!

Thanks essbebe, I could be able to connect with secured wireless. The screen is a little bit different, but when I gave the PSK Passphrase both in my modem and in my Laptop, it accepted and I could connect in my Laptop.

    Thanks again for the solution
