Default bsnl friends envying impatience 4MBps airtel scheme..pls beware

    Hi BSNL friends..
I did a big research on the impatience schemes..It appears that these schemes are a merely a scam with the 4Mbps clause as the bait for the gullible customer. Actually I was on the verge of booking this plan after terminating my home 500 bsnl. But after going thro lots of other forums, I realised not many ppl have opted for this scheme.

The very few who have opted for these schemes around Mar 29th or so have still not seen 4MBps speeds as promised. The speed they get is around 2 MBps max. And for many others who have migrated from other 512KBps schemes to impatience schemes, the speed change is still not visible ie. remains the same. This is the case even with the uncle upstairs in my flat who migrated from his RS1099 UL 512KBps to impatience RS1099 4MBps..Speedtest.net still shows his speed as 512KBps..

Also Airtel in many cases has cheated ppl by saying that their area is not compatible for laying 4MBps speeds though airtel clearly claims that this scheme is compatible in chennai, delhi, gurgaon etc..This is a convenient way of cheating the gullible. But am not the one to fall for the bait.

Also I challenge anybody who has opted for this scheme to post a screenshot of their browsing speed from speedtest.net or any other site. I swear it cant be 4MBps..If so I congratulate you.

Overall this scheme is a shameful scam. Beware guys..I have posted this thread in both bsnl and airtel subforums because this topic is really of equal concern for both the ppl in the bsnl side and the airtel side..Moderator may delete the post in any 1 of these subforums if he may feel so at his own discretion.

    @srinpraveen
    With your neighbour's Airtel ID
contact 123@airtel.in and give the link/s for the speeds recorded. Mention in text also.
and make a complaint about the speed promised and actual. .
    2.
Without having an Airtel connection, and on basis of unspecified reports, your "RESEARCH"has concluded AIRTEL is "cheating" its customers.
Any post on technical matters should be backed by hard evidence.
    To start:
(a)Post screenshot of the Statistics ADSL page of your neighbour's Airtel BB connection. (b)Mention the modem/router used and computer specifications.
(c)Data of speed as tested at
    Airtel
( check the NetExpert option )
or at speedtest.net server at say Delhi/Mumbai/

    para two:
Also ask him to register for selfcare.

By the way I have both BSNL
AND AIRTEL BB connection for past many years .
