Thread: Low speed. Please help

My friend is facing a problem. Please assist

plan : home 500
modem : UT300R2

the network speed is fluctuating and changing each time modem reboots (normally in course of usage).
The snr margin is low at 11/8 (D/U) and attenuation 29/16 (D/U). i DON"T face any disconnection
issues or anything.

The average speed i get is
Upstream : 512 kbps (seems fine and usually not changing)
Downstream : 32-2048 kbps (keeps fluctuating)

Also i noticed that in "network statistics" it shows "Overruns - 49"...

I've tried connecting phone line directly/with splitter/ with and without phone connection, but no change.

Any suggestions on where the problem could be ?

Fluctuating in speed occur because of the telephone line has noise or disturbance. Pic up the Telephone receiver try to notice the noise or disturbance has or not.
