    Default What is the max bandwidth we can get from normal phone cable?

    When i was using dial up from phone, i thought broadband need special connection and cables.But after getting broadband i realised that its provided through the same phone line.Do we need special cables to get high connection speeds like 16mbps ,24 mbps etc? Are they being provided through the same phone line?

    They can have upto 100 Mbps but it depends on the SNR of your cable.

    @meetdilip
    Digital Signal 3 (DS3) A Special Access Service comparable to having 672 voice-grade channels capable of handling multiple data streams in high volume at speeds up to 44.736 Mbps (commonly referred to as a 45 Megabit channel).

    source :TelServ | Glossary | Voice, Data, Internet: One Solution

    I thought it was 100 Mbps
    What you see in your network settings page.
    Wifi routers 54 Mbps and 108 Mbps.

    Query was speed on telphone line.
    @talktoanil 's information seems correct.
    For still higher speeds wifi or Satellite networks may be used.
    Anyway many of us are stuck with ( in theory)UPTO 2 Mbps speed !!!
