Thread: WHAT is the use of motive active from bsnl?

when i am browsing website,bsnl from bangalore shows its website .shows selfcare software and motivation.i downloaded selfcare and installed but it says my modem is not in their list(my modem is iti adsl bought from bsnl 9 months before).then downloaded motivation software,should i install or not?what is the purpose of bsnl motive activation.thanks

As I am in Chennai unable to check Motive application . Remember could download it a year back, and found it exasperating to use..
Some Firmware updates were saved I think.

could be DNA A 211-I If WA 3002-G4 or
Siemens sl2_141 appear in "Motive list" try

i am not in chennai,i am in tiruvannamalai.i have an internet,so why should i activate using this bsnl activation.i tried it, asked ppoe name and all that,i don't know,i quit.i don't want to disturb my internet settings,because it is good.i tried to update modem fireware using one of bsnl software,it says it is not for iti modem type,so i went one of link provided in this forum for iti modem type and updated,rebooted.bsnl motive claims for no hassle internet connection.i get full internet speed except downloading from megaupload,rapidshare etc,so i think i don't need it,thanks

From Installation CD
From some other Bsnl website,
or other non bsnl website,
or you entered the address in Browser?
This info is needed to take up with BSNL
MAY BE . 117.xx.xx.xx are affected,
or new users who run the installation cd ( if provided )

Select from menu list on right
Menu item "Manage your BB modems"
may not be possible to access it outside Karnataka circle.

Kaspersky is detecting it as worm while installing .. i'm cautious

If your Internet connection is working, ignore that site.
