Default Want to purchase a wireless N router

I am planning to purchase a Wireless N Router . ( only router , no ADSL modem inside)

I want to replace this with my existing Linksys WRT54G wireless router.

    Do you have suggestions ?

    I have a list though , D-Link DIR-655 , Belkin N+ , Linksys 160N etc.

But these are old released . .....is there any latest HOT model released yet to consider ?

Please feel free to post your views .

    Try Google search:

There could be some websites which post
expert review of these WIFI routers.
Even searching the web site of Netgear Linksys will give you
    the latest models.
I recently posted details about one model, which claimed a range
of almost 1200 feet . Cost About Rs 5000/ to Rs 6000/=
    Check in "Archive" here .
    .

wow .....I checked the site....but its so hard to track down that post.

I used 'Advanced Search' here .

Searched all of your posts with author 'essbebe' and keyword 'wireless router' .....whole lot of matches found .....browsed few of them ....and finally got lost ...its too hard to get .

Do you remember any specific keyword to track down that model ? let know if you remember any specific keyword you used in that post ....that could easily narrow down the search.

http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...fi-router.html (Need to purchase a WiFi Router)

Clicked 'Archive" green link at bottom of page.
    Selected BSNL forum.
Now this link is now No 17.
Barely one or two days old thread .
I would have quoted the link straightaway,
but wanted to emphasise , the need to use
at least titles of recent active threads .
    By using SEARCH faciliy.
Some one "need a WIFI N router"
    Another "want a Wifi router"
"Please give Wifi N router details"
"Help; want long range wifi router" etc .

    Too much "Spoon feeding" prevents
members from having additional information, gain knowledge etc.
I am also ignorant of so many subjects,
but take the trouble of searching for correct information , from this forum and other forums/ google search etc, before posting here.
in the process I gather more info/tips/details, and the page is bookmarked for future use. ( A sort of mini google !)
Most of the time I add the link/s also.
    P.S
"spoon feeding " does not mean I consider members as babies! One member took strong objection to this term, and I am wary of using
idioms and proverbs in my posts.
    "Once bitten twice shy" !!!

Ahh...I read that post already earlier

Actually, you posted a link to purchase Access point . I decided not to purchase any Access points . Rather , I'll purchase a Wireless N router and an USB N Adapter. I'm not sure whether we have passed out of 802.11 N Draft ...is it still in the draft phase or finalized ? Most of the hardwares are marked with Draft compatible.

    @andromeda
    you have missed the point.
In the thread another link is available. and giiven by @gaggan
It was expected you will search for details of any Particular company say Belkins and
locate the latest 2N Wifi router/.WAP.
The link I had given was for the query by the thread starter.

    I have a list though , D-Link DIR-655 , Belkin N+ , Linksys 160N etc.
You are aware of SEARCH mode, and not a novice ,as per above list given by you.

Rather , I'll purchase a Wireless N router and an USB N Adapter.
    Please post results .
