hi,

i got the modem from bsnl, its manufactured by syrma technology pvt ltd, the model no is AR800V v3.0
have attached the screenshots...
i dont know abt port forwarding n how to do it.
utorrent window not useful. I want to see the complete window. Lower portion edited. Want to check if port forwarding is the issue or not ? Only lower portion of the window can show it.
Your model no seems to be confusing. Please select your modem from the list and follow the tutorial
PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model
Or Post the snap of modem.
----
Check whether your modem is available in this list

the modem model no is AR800V,
have attached the utorrent screenshot ,
Yours is not a case of port forwarding. Did you notice a small green tick on the bottom of screen shot. It indicates that the ports are open and can receive connections.
1. Disable your firewall and try.
2. utorrent > options > Preferences > Try trial and error with values.
3. utorrent > options > set up guide > Set your speed.
No wonder you are getting slow speed. Look at the seed to peer ratio. It is very low. Get yourselves a torrent from private trackers like Demonoid. Download any file from Microsoft and report the speed you get.

yes, i have the green tick mark in utorrent, but checkout the test result.
i tried downloading from microsoft website....the speed was constant at 30.5 kbps
i switched off the firewall, now the speeb ranges from 65-80 kbps, is it okay?
1. Add exceptions for utorrent in your firewall.
2. Mention your BSNL plan name.
3. Your model no is still a confusion it must be something else. Instead of the box, post the snap of the modem. The model and make will be written on the modem.
4. Mention your mode of connection PPPoE (Always ON) or Bridge (Dialler).
bangalore is facing power shortage, shall i upload the modem details once electricity comes... sorry...
@meetdilip

@ravishankkar85
You can save the screenshots as a data base.
for use here.
Thanks essbebe. I actually meant snap shot. Posted it as screen shot in hurry. Error regretted. Do you recognize his modem ? If so please quote. I will be able to find a port forwarding guide for him.
Should be In PPPoE mode.
For Portforwarding menu items :
Try 192.168.1.1/ home1.html
or 192.168.1.1/secur_menu.html.
me too 512kb plan,i get 60 to 75 kB in utorrent.but what about downloading speed from rapidshare,megaupload etc? because i get 30 to 35 kB in jdownloader,sometimes get 40 to 75 in internet download manager.
for 512Kbps plan the speed increase to 2x, now you will get the download speed 120 to 128KBps. If not then there is some problem.
Same here... i am 1350 UL user but i am getting 67kB/s for last 2 days. Today downloaded direct file from microsoft and got speed 54kB/s![]()
I am too having some strange speed problems.. cutomer care told me that their servers are down!!!!
