Thread: New broadband is more confusing!

Hi friends,
From last year i.e. march 2009 I had a bsnl broadband 500 combo plan. last week of march 2010 my plan is automatically changed. Now i got a speed only 300kbps instead of 1700kbps ( which I get earlier). I visit the site of BSNL and found there is so many plan changes in there broadband connection. I too contact my nearest bsnl customer care. They said that my plan is changes to BBUUSO 500C which is unlimited down load and speed is 512kbps up to 4 GB download and afterwords it is 256 kbps. Additionally i got 100 call free (Earlier i get 175 call free & 1.5 GB free down load in month). but that time speed is up to 2 Mbps. Present plan BBUUSO 500C is not reflected any site of BSNL.
So i want to know about new plan in details with download speed.
kindly help me out.

Hey isnt their a single UL plan at 1mbps and 2mbps speeds with no FUP?
I coudnt find any except 256kbps and 512kbps.

True. There are no plans with 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps unlimited without FUP. BSNL is no match for MTNL. Rates are much higher than MTNL.

Thanks for that. still i have some doubt about my BSNL plan. Earlier I have 500 combo home plan which give me 1.5 GB free download, Night 2 to morning 8 free down load with greater speed i. e. upto 2 Mbps( normally i found the bandwidth speed 1700 Kbps ) and 175 call free from my landline .
but you have mentioned the page where i can clear my some doubt. I read the page and understand( If i not misunderstood ) eairlier my BBHOME Rural USOF Combo UL 500@ is changes to UNLIMITED but it speed is compromised with some download. Here i found one more plan i.e. Rural USO Combo 550 which having a greater spead 512Kbps/ upto 2Mbps ( I think so it is earlier speed) but limited download to 6 GB With no Night free download.
My question is "i don't compromise with speed but same time i use more download from NET in less expenditure as earlier.
(i)So what plan is more suitable for me?
(ii) Is there any free download Time( LIKE 0200am to 0800am as earlier )?
(iii) Speed should not compromised?
