This is clearly understandable that there is no problem from your side. If the problem from your side then you cant browse all of the web site or facing same problem on all web site.
If you see from the proxy server you can open those site ( which you mention ) very quickly, or can be open, then the problem on the Route side of the network of BSNL.
I can only say that your side is OK.

Another thing you can try in your side that delete or clear all the Temporary Internet Files from your browser and check.

    Hi

All to the surprise when i changed the MTU default 1492 to 1454 all the website which i said not opening are working properly

I think this is not the BSNL fault
Might be wrong configuration from our side or modem side

    see

Please give the latest Ipconfig /all data.
A particular web site/s not opening is
    1.FW problem
    2. DNS problem Use Opendns and you may get an error message.
    3. MTU usually 1492 try lower values.
    ( mine now Gadgets.com OK )
    4. Browser Change. try OPERA or AVANT.
    5. OS updates.
    6. Flush cache Dns
    7 . Try a different modem. ISP.
    Para two:
If I remember correct: your laptop is working/
    perfectly in your office.
( This precludes any tweaks in your LAPTOP)
Anyway see this link and apply the patch if windows XP sp2 is being used.
