Thread: Dead slow speed since yesterday evening

looks like BSNL is back to using shitty US routing

I don't think its only BSNL, even AIRTEL is still using the US route.. That raises doubt if the problem is actually fixed.

The only thing I am frustrated is, there is no information update or even notification from any of our Service Providers including BSNL and Airtel (don't know about others) about this issue. Service providers in other countries are providing daily updates to their customer on their website about this whole activity.

Our service providers are taking us for a ride with "Chalta Hai" attitude..

RS speeds have improved now!

Yes, this frustrates me a lot too. ISPs leave us completely in the dark; particularly bsnl. Indian media and the general populace also don't seem to care.

speeds right now are fluctuating a *lot* so it's 300ms with no packet loss, then after a few hours 600 ms with heavy packet loss & disconnects - really hard to plan in advance with this kind of reliability (it's really annoying when you want to sell stocks, the prices keep rising and YOU CAN'T OPEN THE WEBSITE, omg lol)

I was getting ping of 100+ from last 1 week but now even at this time my ping is good for online games.

You will obviousely get good results, you are pinging to server in Mumbai. Try with Server in Frankfurt and check the same.

You are downloading from where?rapidshare?are you have any premium account in rapidshare?I used to get 50 to 60kbps speed from rapidshare as a free user,I bought a premium account yesterday and downloading speed goes up to 220 kB/s

I had tested downloading from Rapidshare & Megaupload this morning. Got around 190kBps from Rapidshare and 200 kBps from Megaupload (free user of both).
