Default Windows 7 and Broadband speed

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Professional.
Until now i have been using Windows XP and that worked fine for my 'remote desktop' assignment that i have. The broadband speed has been satisfactory and worked fine for me.
However, since upgrading the Windows 7, my net speed has come down drastically only for the remote desktop (not for ordinary browsing though!) and I am finding irritating time lag in page display in the remote desktop making my work in the remote desktop difficult. I need to switch between programs in the remote desktop. What could be the reason and how to resolve it? Any directions will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Default Thank you

I clicked on the middle button to accept and the net speed was fine today. Thanks for that little, but important tip. I wonder though: Only I am required to login to another computer, there is no need for that other computer to access mine except for getting the desktop updates displayed on my screen. Thanks again for the help.

    Default Net is too slow..

    Dear sir,
I have taken a 500 Combo broadband plan. Until yesterday i got maximum of about 1.74 Mbps speed. It was quite nice. But today morning my speed is only about 3KBps when downloadings. I am irritated due to the need for downloading some important files. What may be the problem sir?

some problem in BSNL servers reported.
    Test speed here:Airtel
Mine just now BSNL ISP D/L 1.74Mbps U/L 437 kbps. ( speed upto 2 Mbps)
    Use Download Manager.
Downloaded an application with Free download Manager.
Download speed shown started low and then upto 150KB/sec.

Some under water cable maintenance is going on. May take a week to set it right. Users may experience less speed.

    Default About My Broadband

    Sir,
I am having the broadband connection of BSNL 500 Combo plan. While I am playing or browsing the net, the network is automatically disconnecting me periodically. I mean that there is no uploading and downloading while the modem and network is on. It is really irritating while online games. I need to wait and, if I were in any online chat and online games, it will be automatically signing out rapidly. Also while I am downloading, the connection goes in between the downloads. Why this is happening? With this I am really bored of internet in this week.
