Thread: Google sites not opening

Im facing a weird problem since past few daz. Earlier all sites were opening on my PC but suddenly google & other of its application sites like gmail, orkut etc are not opening.

Anyone can help?????

Since when is this happening?? You should know that due to underwater sea cable repairs surfing/download speeds are very low these days unless the servers are based in India. This will be done by May 1st or 2nd.

Mention your browser.

Post your SNR and Line attenuation values. Go to 192.168.1.1 and login using admin and admin as username and password respectively.

Alternatively, try using google open dns. Please mention your plan and post speedtest.net test results.

Feedback awaited.

This problem should go away within the next few hours as the repair work is due for compleation soon.

1. Clear your browser cache.

2. Try ipconfig/renew or ipconfig/flushdns commands

3. Try a different DNS

Open DNS



or Google DNS

8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

i tried changing my DNS to Preffered DNS server : 208.67.222.222
Alternative DNS server: 208.67.220.220. bt no help.. can u sugggest me other DNS servers... and if i got to change it to google DNS how do i do tat... This google sites not opening im facing this prob since around 1 week nw where as i can access thm on any other comp.

Start RUN type cmd
Ok
New window
type ipconfig / flushdns
again ipconfig/renewdns

2.Start Network LAN
Properties
Network settings page ( as shown @ meetdilip)
select tcp/ip
properties
enter dns
8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
Apply Save.
3. report here copy/paste
ipconfig /all

4. mention modem/model/make/number.

Try this :

Open Gmail.com

If the site loads its fine if it doesnt :

Keep the shift button pressed and click on refresh using your mouse.

If Gmail.com site loads do the same with all others that dont and you will be fine.

If your site still doesnt load please ignore me and carry on following meetdilip's and essbebe's advise

How to set up google dns : Meetdilip has posted a detailed reply above which you probbably missed out on.. follow those steps and try my steps again and see if that works.

I have tried this DNS but always I found it slower than BSNL`s DNS.

Try using google dns as meetdeelip mentioned
I am using that and Its preety fast......
