    Default Problame about ADSL link

    Hello,
    I am kaustubh from pune. I have problem with ADSL link from last month.
    When i start modem i don't get link for long hours. Specially form 10 am to 8pm
    I contacted with BSNL, they told mi to check modem, line etc. But everything is working correctly.
    They are saying your connection must have loose connection problem. But I don't understand i can get link during night and in morning it disappears. Is this loose contact? I don't think so.

    Pl. tell me solution.

    In computer
    Start/ RUN/ type / cmd
    Ok
    new window
    type ipconfig /all
    copy/paste data here.

    Try changing line which connects your telephone with modem. or else try connecting directly without accessing with the telephone.

    I have done changes to tcp/ip properties. and also checked in modem summary lin 0 _35 and it is green.
    But question is should i do changes in ADSL settings also. or is it ok to make changes only for LAN.

    Do you mean Modem settings and Computer settings ?
    checked in modem summary lin 0 _35 and it is green.
    are you connected to interenet and can you surf ?
    You use now a "dialer" to connect or " :always On Mode ?
    How many computers you intend to use in LAN ?

    yes i am connected to internet now and surfing internet. i always use dialer to connect and i am using only one PC.

    Save/backup present modem settings to say C:/My documents/ MT882 OK
    ( I think menu item is seen under Tools )

    Check for one or two days and report all normal.

    Check speed here for records.

    We talk about my problem of ADSL link, but i forgot to mention my broadband works fine on Saturday and Sunday. As we talked on Saturday it was working properly.
    But from today it started giving problem. ADSL link disappears after 2-3 minutes.
    I really don't understand my net works properly on Sat and Sunday. And from Monday to Friday it gives problem.
    What will be problem?
    And is it possible to share my line? And it is causing me problem.

    What is your tariff plan ?__________________
    Modem is on rent or purchased outright ?_______
    How is the Power supply situaltion in your area ?
    Low voltage/ during week days ?_______________
    Tube lights working Ok ?________________

    same thing used to happen with me.. but from 5pm to 10 pm daily there was no ADSL Link.(This weirdness occurred for 3 months). Now everything is cool.

    Finally i got the solution to these problems!!!
    The only solution is to reset the port in the exchange.

    I toooooooo had same problem.

    I tried every thing from earth to sky.

    NOTHING WORKED.!!!

    At last my problem solved when i asked them to change the port.

    Now its back to normal.
