Thread: Super speed 16mbps & huawei mt880 modem

Hi

I got new super speed 16mbps plan and want to know WILL Modem: Huawei MT880 works on it ... & huawei site says its adsl2 series and can download upto 24mbps ... where as bsnl site says it needs vdsl modem

please suggest

New info. Better ask BSNL CC for VDSL modem on rent.
Please give the vdsl modem/model/make number for info. Thanks.

Update: If your telephone cable connection is Fiber Optic :
Adsl Modem may work. distance from BSNL Exchange mAY not exceed about 1200 meters.
( Vdsl modem is backward compatible for ADSL.)

Can u tell me which isp is providing that 16mbps plan..

Your modem Huawei MT880 also works good because it's support 24Mbps.
Go to your modem GUI web pages and see what the Line speed shows to you. If you are in 16Mbps Plan then it show Download Rate 16000 to 20000 Kbps and Upload rate 512 to 1000 Kbps. If those Rate are shows correct as mention above then you dont need to plan for other modem.
And remember set your Modem to ADSL2+ mode
