I've been using Home 500 C plan and getting good download speed direct, with IDM and UTorrent average 220 KBps.

I have been using 500 plan in bsnl and have been using torrents ever since and i find no issues at all in using it. and as far as i know the billing accuracy of bsnl is 99% okay as far as i am concerned.

torrent speeds depends on many factors & as for rapidshare you will get good speeds only if you are a premium user as rapidshare has capped speeds for free users now to 60KBps.

    Speed: 256 Kbps to 2Mbps
Limits: 2.5 GB for usage during the day 8 am to 2 am next day
Night Unlimited: YES (from 2 am to 8 am)
Extra charge if traffic exceeds imposed limits: 80 paise per MB
    Minimum hire period: 3 months
    Security Deposit: None

Can someone who is using BSNL confirm the correctness of BSNL's billing system? Do they goof up for the usage or something like that? Also, do these guys count upload figures? what is the upload speed like for those who have been upgraded to 2mbps?

Yes BSNL and MTNL dont allow torrents but anyone who is in the know can use any open port to use torrents.Be it any isp they cant completely ban torrents.

So for those who have this plan get set and go for your torrents at night

Please do leave your comments if you have any.
    1) Could i change plan with in the period ,if i paid the 5000 for the year?
    2) What is minimum hire period mean?
    3) What is a torrent?
    4)what is a Crack?

ans.1. not sure but i think you can.however better confirm this at your local bsnl office by meeting with accounts officer.
ans.2. minimum hire period means you can not change your plan from existing to a lower cost plan but at some exchanges they take it as no plan change.
    ans.3. search google
    ans 4. search google

To avail night unlimited, you need to switch off and On the modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. 250 KBps is the maximum speed. Expect between 150 KBps - 200 KBps. But is still ten times what UL 750 can offer.

[QUOTE=Admin;3776]Here is a quick summary of this plan you guys probbably missed a few bits when you say you can download enough.
Monthly charge : Rs. 500 /- comes down to Rs. 417 /- if you pay 5000rs for 1 year
    Speed: 256 Kbps to 2Mbps

Extra charge if traffic exceeds imposed limits: 80 paise per MB
    Minimum hire period: 3 months
    Security Deposit: None

So is the speed 256 KBPS or 2 GB? Or it fluctuates between the both?

If you ask me, it is a nice plan. But day time limit is very less. But many manage using Adblock and flashblock add ons. Better choose Home Combo 600. It has 2.5 GB limit. You can check the plans here

    http://bsnl.in/service/New_BB_postpaid.htm

Go through various plans and choose the one you like. If you want more help, try this
