Exclamation Dead slow downloads on uTorrent

    Hi

For past few days I am facing dead slow downloads on uTorrent. The upload speed though seems to be fine.
Earlier I used to get 140+ kbps speed, but now it remains 15-20kbps most of the time.

Is it because of SEA-ME-WE cable repair? Does anyone know if that problem has been fixed or not?

I am trying to avoid playing with modem/ utorrent settings if the problem is related to the cable repair work.

    I am in Pune.

    Exclamation Speedtest result

Speed test result seems to be fine:

    Download: 1.83Mb/s
    Upload: .41Mb/s

Will try again tonight, else will start diagnosing the uTorrent settings...

Anyone else from Pune who had this issue and is fixed now?

Please mention your modem - model and make.

Or select your guide from portforward.com

i think you should change the port number. click on the triangle and change the port number to any number between 20000 to 60000. try changing it till it works .please post again if it does not work.

    Default Downloads still slow

Not too sure, though browsing seems to be fine, downloads on uTorretn is extremely slow...
Speedtest results on US servers give .88 mb/s download speed, while on Delhi server it's 1.45mb/s.

    Home 500C plan.

To get maximum speed out of torrents, no of seeds should be much higher than no of peers. You may also try port forwarding.

Mention your modem - model and make

if your torrent speed is low then what about your http download speed? is it good?? if it is good then maybe you configured your utorrent wrong. when you test your speed you should test with the server nearest to you. so dont select servers from usa and other countries. use chennai server if you are from south india or use mumbai or kolkata server if you are from north india.
