    UPDATE 0920 5th may 2010
    links For Patches/usermanual from Teracom
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post282513

    From Windows 7
    Post IPconfig /all
    Select Network WLAN
    Properties
    select
    view available Wireless networks
    status
    repair
    try any of them
If the Wireless configuration utility is
some other application ( specially the
WLANcard make Netgear or built in ), problem could arise..
All above based on Xp Pro SP3.
presume you can easily check in your OS>
    No idea about "UBUNTU" O.S
    "Windows ZeroConfiguration Utility "

1.You are able to connect with the modem/wifi router with OS UBUNTU.
Means both the wifi router and laptop Wireless network settings are OK
What is the SSID name as shown now ?
    2. Modem/router needs no further settings.
    3. Change over to Windows OS
Presume you know step by step instructions
    in the Network/ WLAN properties
    disable IPV6 box.TCP/IP properties
    same as in Ubuntu os
    say 192.168.1.3
    subjnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 192.168.1.1 ( modemrouter's )
DNS enter open dns 208.67.220.220 and google dns 8.8.8.8
    Apply Save.

In the same Page Since your wireless network card is SAME for Both Ubuntu and Windows OS, just click configure and ensure it is enabled.
    No further changes.
Now a wifi Icon should appear in TASK Bar.
    Recheck ipconfig/all for wireless LAN
    Feedback.

Full quote is used only when the post of the member is way down, and not immediately preceding your reply.
It will be better to answer with short quotes.
or use it for your reply then delete it,
    Scrolling the pages is tiring.
