Best way to check it is try speedtest.net on USA servers, if you get full speed that means it is over as the speedtest will not show full speed in the repair. and also see the ping.

I tried it, i got full speed, that means it is over.

    Are the values fine?
I have noticed very high ping values during and after this repairs of the cable.
Please let me know what are the ping values normally.

In my opinion anything under 100 is great, 100-200 good, 200-300 satisfactory, above 300-a bit bad.
Just because you get a low number doesn't mean it will be great. One Half-Life server I connect to I usually get under 40 ping. Unfortunately, I usually get terrible packet loss. I'd rather have 250 ping and 0% packet loss.

Seems like the repairs are done. Speedtest results are same normal. But browsing/downloading speed is even better than before. Youtube videos load fast without any lag.

I do not understand how to recognise the repairs are done. Earlier my downloads were running at 50-53kpbs but they barely touch 26kbps. This is much lower than can be expected.

i too get 25KBps or something!

This is because we are on UL plans!

they are/were on limited plans so they get that speed!

And the speedtest isn't that speed we get in downloads!

    You can

    1. Get a limited plan and get higher speeds.

    2. An FUP plan with higher speed and unlimited bandwidth.

    3. Unlimited plan like UL 1350 + with decent speed and unlimited bandwidth

Mention your plan. Are you on UL 750 or UL 750 + ?

I am on 750+. Checked up with many friends in the city they are still facing the same problem of slow speeds. Is it possible to regulate speeds? I live in Tier-2 city.

The normal speed of UL 750 + is between 25 -32 KBps. If you are getting above 25 KBps, the speed is good. Download a file from Microsoft and report the speed here. There is no way to get more than what your ISP is providing. If you want more speed, switch to any of the above mentioned plans. You can also try BSNL EvDO.

u should know that BSNL doubled the speed for a month i.e April!

In April we all got 50KBps+ speeds!
