Question utorrent not providing good downloading speed

i have 500C home plan.i know that utorrent is the best torrent downloading software.but i am not able to get the satisfying downloading speed using utorrent.
i have switched to bittorrent for downloading and it is providing me the satisfying speed. But as bittorrent contains adwares inside though i have no option but to use it for downloading.
Friends i want some suggestions as why utorrent is not giving me good speed.
all the ports in utoorent are open while downloading.
any suggestions/settings for utorrent is greatly needed.
    thanks in advance....

What is the speed you get in utorrent ? Try a torrent download for linux or one from a private tracker. Seed to peer ratio is very important to get maximum speed.

Which mode are you in ? PPPoE or Bridge ?

Try a download from Microsft and report the speed here.

Arrow thanks meetdilip for such a fast reply

in utorrent i am getting average speed of 140-160Kbps

while downloading form http or microsoft i m getting average speed 210-220 Kbps

while using bittorrent i am getting downloading average speed 180-200 Kbps

as for permanent auto disconnection at morning 8AM i am using auto shutdown software and the router is in bridge mode

i have compared downloading same torrent file using utorrent and bittorrent (good seeded) but bittorent always gives me good speed...

    thanks for ur reply

In utorrent, options > Speed guide > Select your speed and then try.

Try Vuze. I think it does not have ads.

Try removing windows firewall and disable NAT option in the router options. Might help.

Thumbs up thanks to all the replies and suggestions....

Thanks for all your useful suggestions...

today i will try to download using Vuze i hope it will work fine for me....

and will also try to disable firewall and will download then in utorrent

as in bridge mode NAT is not available so i don't think it has to do anything here....
