You will need to submit a written application at your exchange. Plan change usually kicks in at the start of the next billing cycle (1st of the next month).

Please read meetdilip's article on Precautions during plan change.

Plan change is free. But you need to pay one month rent as advance. Since UL 750 + is also having Rs. 750 per month rent, there is no need to pay anything extra. Please refer this tutorial

You cannot change your plan online. For that you need to give a written application to your local exchange.

There is no guarantee that this may happen. I was told by CC to submit an application. So it is highly varying.

I am not denying that. All I am saying is that it may differ from place to place.

Today, they may do it from all places.

It is just a singular incident. If BSNL starts acting on phone calls, our plan will change every day. Such high is their level irresponsibility. I have changed the plan 3 times. I have requested them to do it through phone confirmation, but I was told to give a written application. As far as I know it is the same in almost all parts of the country.

Can anybody please tell me if BSNL automatically changed the old BB Home 1350 UL with 512 download speed to new BB Home ULF 1350 with 2 Mbps upto 20 GB/month and 512 beyond 2 GB?

According to BSNL, they have reconfigured the plan as ULF 1350.

Source: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd- News

But some members are still getting 512 Kbps.

Post your postpaid orders page screen shot. Will try to guide you. Need to check the effective date, plan status and plan name.

According to the source provided by Dilip (thanks for this), BSNL should have changed my account from BB Home Combo UL 1350 to BB Home Combo ULF 1350 with DL speeds of 2Mbps upto 15 GB (new 20GB) and 512 Kbps beyond that with effect of 2.6.2010.

Beginning of July I had a faster DL speed for 15 GB but nothing has changed in August so far.

My postpaid order page still shows my plan as BB Home Combo UL 1350 with DL speed of 512 Kbps.

I called BSNL 2 days back and told them that I did not get the 2 Mbps but they are not doing anything. What should I do now?

It is purely a badly handled case by BSNL. Confusion still persists. Try complaining to Nodal officer or Appellate authority. ID and password on the back side of your bill. Call them and seek help.

Check with SDE. Tell him about the problem. There is still a confusion about this plan. BSNL should have made in 1 Mbps unlimited for UL 1350.

tried it but in vain.. called 1500 they told me to call 1800-424-1600.. when i did she put me on hold for 15 mins and told me to call 1500.. BSNL is very very poor when it comes to technical assistance
