    @just4Kix
    Thank you.
You had already given REP++ earlier.
As a senior here, I feel, I should not take part in the contest.
Any way I will try to post three or four articles for the contest.
Please consider shift/move @imrock's similar post for the contest.

That article was posted way too early. It will be difficult to justify.

But coming back to you. Sure. You can participate in the contest.

Why this Teracom's interface looks like that of C2110 ? Is this a re-badged one ?

USB Port function may not be available see email to BSNl below:
Sorry. forgot about it. sending email to denibchn@dataone.in to day.
    Dear sirs,
In Calcutta telephones web site USB drivers have been provided for above model/s.
But Teracom ( In India ) when contacted says, it is for future use and BSNL present contract does not allow provision of USB port in their models.
    Please clarify.
When Teracom is connected to system via USB port the hardware is not detected.
    Thanking you

See link WA3002_g4 below. Most modems/routers are based on one or two Firmware/s.
( minor changes/variations possible. For instance Ut300R2U new model supplied by bsnl does not have port triggering Virtual server options.)

USB port facility not available at present. Info from BSNL.
    Dear Sir
It is true that BSNL has not asked for USB port in Teracom modems and thatis the reason, they have not given the USB cable along with the modem.
However we shall update you, regarding the possibility of working of USB, if we get further information please

Default BSNL Teracom Wireless setup issue

    Hi all
Please help me to resolve the Wireless setup issue i have. I have new bsnl internet. I congifured LAN and it is working fine. next i tried to setup wireless, which is not working. Here is the configuration details i tried:
    Select Profile: 802.11B/G
    Wireless Network: Enable
    Select Country: INI
    Channel Selection: Auto
    Select Channel: 2
    Network Name (SSID): rev_bsnl
    Hide SSID: No

    Security Settings
Select Security Option: 64 Bit Encryption(Tried Wi-Fi Protected Access and Wi-Fi Protected Access2 too but not working)
    WEP Authentication Mode: Open
    Select Tx Key Index: 0
    Select Key Method: Direct Key
    Key: 123456ABCD
    WEP Pass Phrase: (Blanks)
    Select Encryption Protocol: Disabled
    Select Authentication Method: Disabled
    WPA Pass Phrase: Disabled
    802.1x Identity String: Disabled
    802.1x Rekey Timeout: Disabled

    PMK Caching: Enabled

And Confirmed the above. When i open the Wireless network connection setup, i could see the network and click connect. It asks for the key and i give the HExadecimal key i gave in the security setup. it keeps trying and comes back as either 'Available' or 'Not connected' . Please help me

    Thanks in advance

    @ free,

Simply switch to bridge mode and see if you are getting proper speeds. Hope you did UPnP and NAT PMP settings as mentioned in other thread. If it is a port forward problem, it will not happen in bridge mode. I am not suggesting you to move permanently but switch and check.

Nokia Siemens C 2110 and Teracom modems have similar interface.

    Use this

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post336501

will work even without port forwarding. Check modem settings, if possible enable UPnP too.

I don't have that modem any more. Please check with essbebe. Let us hope he has a screen shot in his collection. Or you can simply browse the modem pages, it is not hard to find.

BSNL has stopped issuing modems. Not sure it is good or bad, but we used to get WiFi modems on Rs. 80 per month rent.

To switch between bridge and PPPoE, simply try to find a page with VPI/VCI with 0/35 entry. Edit it and you will find the option. I think the page name is " Internet connection ". Check the LHS menu of modem.

Will be nice if you can give the screen shots itself as attachment.

    1. What error does it give when you try to connect to your WiFi ?

    2. How many wireless device do you have ? Is it a laptop or a mobile phone ? Mention OS in use. Does any other device successfully connect to your WiFi ?

    3. This may help

For both "Bridged" and "PPPoE" connection
For BSNL VPI VCI is 0 and 35.

    Presume you use PPPoE mode.

    Default Wireless Problem not solved

    Hi essbebe,

I have tried to change the IP VPI/VCI for "bridge" to 0-38 and the PPPoE to 0-35(screenshot attached). This time, it even fails to connect thru Ethernet cord.

With my earlier configuration[IP VPI/VCI for "bridge" to 0-35 and the PPPoE to 0-38], I see the Wireless icon display "Limited or No connectivity" but the internet works with LAN.[Find attached my wireless settings.]
I use Lenovo Laptop. The wifi used to work for my earlier BSNL wifi model (W3002).As the modem is no more functioning I requested for a new modem from BSNL.This model is Teracom, for which my earlier Backup settings are not compatible(earlier it stored as .conf now it accepts only .icf).

Your help in this regard is much appreciated!

Delete all lines EXCEPT 0 35 Then EDIT
    Or forget 0-38 with vpi/vci 0/38

For a single ISP say BSNL you can have only ONE mode of connection.
(in dialer mode exception IPTV 0 and 33 )

Follow the screen shots given here. for a PPPoE connection.

IF Still no wifi ( Presume you remove the lanrj45 cable when using WIFI from laptop )
    Post ipconfig /all data
( without Tunnel data for Both Ethernet card and wireless Lan card.

For connecting back to internet thru cable, i have restored the "bridge" connection temporarily.

Here is my IPCONFIG information(with bridge mode):
