Default Bsnl 750 ul for ps3 online gaming

Hi i wanted to know whether i will be able to play ps3 online games in 256 kbps speed which bsnl is offering in 750 ul. I mean will this be lag free. Also can anyone suggest me the best plan for unlimited because 1350 plan is very costly.

UL 750 will be a bit slow. You may try ULF 900 or ULF 1000. Both have 512 Kbps and 1 Mbps respectively. But there is an FUP.

I have heard some where that you need good pings to play online games. connection speed comes later. Bsnl is very poor in this regard.

Speaking frankly, BSNL is not good for games. If available, opt Airtel.

no Sir, i dont have airtel connection in my area. But I get good speeds in my current plan ie BSNL 500 HOME PLAN. Average speed for downloads are 175 kbps and torrents 120 kbps. Aso the telephone exchange is near my home. Will this help to get good speeds in 750 ul plan.

Speed of Ul 750 will be 32 KBps irrespective of your location from exchange. You may try opting UL 750 for a month and see the performance. Later if you do not find it suitable, switch to a higher plan.

NOT AT ALL, i play CS on Steam and it rocks..what u need is a good ping and ping depends on location of server. if its in india then you get around 20-60 ping which is good...else its very high if its outside india.

If you are trying to play call of duty 4 or 6 means you can play by near by servers..
If you are trying to host an game means, then there is no way you can do it with modem like ut300r2u provided by BSNL..
Because they have an inbuilt Firewall which cant be disable by us manually and if you set your modem to Bridge mode, you will be able to host games without an problem...

I am hardcore online gamer. But the problem is, India is not famous for online gaming.I get 31 ping in avg in css.I have alliance broadband service. When i go to play others game in global servers I get much more ping.In uk based server I used to get 170 ping.Still it is manageable. But now days the service has become poor and my ping jumps up and down.So I want to know the name of some local internet provider name.bcoz as far as I know if the DNS server is located near to your residence and the traffic is less you will get better ping.So I am searching for some local connection.Speed , I don't care about it.I have some frnds from Mumbai and Delhi who use local internet connection and get low ping in global server. And another thing I know very well as I know many online gamer and personally I play 10-12 hours per day online games , BSLN is the worst connection for online gaming.Airtel is better but not good enough.Only local WiFi connection and LAN connection can give u good ping from India.

    Please mention

    1. Modem - model and make.

    2. BSNL plan.

    3. SNR and Attenuation values.

Do you face the low speed all the time ? Or is it occasional ?

    a. Disable Antivirus / Firewall and try

    b. Bypass splitter, connect the line directly to the modem and check.

    c. This may help
