    Default UT300R2U problem..advice needed !!

Hello All, I am facing some weird problems with my UT300R2U modem.I have a 500 Rs night unlimited plan. Its been 1 year i have taken this connection and i am facing this problem snice past 6 months.Sometimes the modem becomes non responsive with " Power Led --> red , Line Led --> Orange and PC/USB Led --> Green " status.
I cannot establish a connection either in PPPoe mode or Bridge mode.I cannot even access the router page using 192.168.1.1.
I have to do a hard reset i.e switch off and switch on the button on the router and it starts working fine again !!.I am a very tech savy guy and i have serached everywhere in the internet for this problem solution.Infact i have been monitoring this forum hoping somebody might have already faced this problem.
I have tried with both Ethernet port and also via USB connection.i even tried resetting to factory defaults today and i still face the same problem. This is creating a big problem for me since the scripts which run at 2:00 AM to start the download will not establish the connection and sometimes they do !!! Please help me out to figure if this is a Router problem and do i need to ask for a replacement ?

Try in PPP/PPPoE Always On mode.
Ensure main/additional Phones connected AFTER the ADSL splitter.
    ATTN 33 dB seems high.
Enter Open dns in modem DNS page.

as essbebe said ensure that all phone cables are connected after splitter!

And u may also try with another modem(if u have) to ensure that the problem is with modem!
And also try exchanging modem from the local exchange if the problem is with modem only!

I am a very tech savy guy...
what you did means same connection.
Modem RJ11 is connected DIRECTLY to BSNL PHONE junction even using an adsl splitter.
ADSL Splitter ( with lowpass filter) mainly meant for telephone use only. and block Data entering telephone ( if you hear "Hiss" wrong connections).

Did you try to change to PPPoE always On mode ?
one model of adsl splitter has
adsl port / LIne port one side and Phone port other side.
    another lineport one side and
modem port phone port other side.
have you mixed up the connections ?

Hi Guys , Got the modem exchanged today. I have to thank my stars because the warranty had expired on 13th may and i had purchased the modem instead of renting it out.The BSNL guy was considerate and just gave me new modem. Now i am no facing the problem anymore.I guess something was kaput inside the modem. Thanks essbebe and others for answering my query and attempting to solve it :-)

PS: They gave me DNA A201BEI from ITI as replacement to UT300R2U.Hope its good !

    Congrats.
Probably the modem menu pages will be similar to UT300R2U.
If possible Please post as annexure Jpg picture Device status here.
    Feedback.
    UPDATE 1130PM
Page not needed. same as Beetel 220BX ut300r2U New ) etc.

Check in Contest forum my new threads for both UT300r2U and Beetel 220BX.
Probably you may have Advanced Options Nat Virtual server Port triggering menu items In PPPoE " Always On " mode.
