    Default Static IP

    Hi,

I have just taken a new BSNL broadband connection of 2 Mbps under Plan 9000. I have been given a static IP address by BSNL. I want to use that IP for setting up an FTP server, but i am not sure how we shall be able to do that.

My current setup has the Modem connected to the Switch directly and we use the same IP series i.e. 192.168.1.XX for our network.

Any help would sure be appreciated.

    Cheers

    What is your modem/router?
Do you use the device provided by BSNL?
