    Unhappy Help! Could not access advanced option in admin page

    Hello people,

    I have Nokia siemens wireless router from BSNL. I want to change DNS servers to open DNS.

    But could not see advanced option in Modem/router home page!

    Please help....

    Change in LAN properties.

    Control panel > Network connections > Select LAN > Right click > Properties > TCP/ IP > Properties, change the DNS

    as Dilip said change DNS servers in LAN properties!

    But could not see advanced option in Modem/router home page!
    Try 192.168.1.1/ main.html
    Please see DNS menu, to enter openDNS
    entries. in the modem.

    Thanks a lot guys.....


    @essbebe
    could see advanced options by using main.html...., great tip.

    But when I type in the open DNS addresses and click save, the fields become blank again!!!!

    So, as meetdilip advised, changed in TCP\IP properties....

    Please check here and confirm DNS selected.
    Device Info. from modem.
    After entering go to Maintenance /mangement and there Save Reboot. wait for 2 minutes.
    Feedback will be helpful. or confirm this.
    Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 1024
    Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 2560
    LAN IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.1
    MAC Address: 00-1e-40-ba-cc-44
    Default Gateway: 122.164.48.1
    Primary DNS Server: 208.67.220.220
    Secondary DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
    Date/Time: Sat May 15 00:03:39 2010

    I see the values are a little different, does it matter, I think downstream is reasonable....

    Thanks for feedback.
    Just had a doubt: ,
    whether the opendns is stored in your modem page. ( or is it shown by Modem device info as entered in TCp/IP properties in computer ? )
    Usually obtain Ip address automatically In modem )results in 192.168.1.1.
    will verify later in my modem/laptop. Thanks again.
