Please go through
How to Check BSNL Broadband Usage Details
@meetdilip
link updated nicely.
Now in Chrome browser also Datafox can be used.
But again selfcare sites users, will not benefit.
as ID PW will be different.
Author "IP")has to go on modifying and adding different selfcare web sites also along with BSNL Portal
I have given him testID and PW( sent to me by a user in Kalyan & with his permission ) to access these self care sites to modify Datafox.
Thanks............
Thank you meetdilip and essebe for a quick reply i have downloaded software as my bb connection is 2 days old and i cant check usage on bsnl site.
@meetdilip
As soon as I switch on system with Bsnl ISP and when Firefox browser is opened , immediately as soon as connection is established above the Taskbar you get the Usage data color coded bar as per your choice. If interested in other details, bsnl
web site is also accessed from here.
If you set it for Ulxxx the limit FUP is set
same thing will happen. Calculating different rates for MB,amount to be paid. graphical representation, are
not needed. I am not a programmer, but know, the more conditions and loops you add application ceases to be simple.As this is Open Source, any one interested can change the coding and try.
There is no end to the number of tariff plans BSNL is making and , and their own
( Oracle Based ) selfcare portals are not working properly.!
I found NetWorx the best so far, to have peace of mind ! Here also you can set Overquota warning !
Hey please tell me if speedtest.net gives accurate result or not. Because speedtest with delhi server tells me my speed as d/l-4.74 Mbps and upload as 1 Mbps.
Depends on the server and distance involved, and route taken.
and different server capabilities.
Stick to one speed test web site.
speed test.net uses about 15 MB data for each test.
Try this
Airtel
I had given another U.K site also. about 3 MB used

All speed tests are supposed to be done with all running applications disabled.
Even Microsoft website , speed varies depending on server conditions. ( also the browser used IE usually slower.)
These tests are only to give an indication
of your system settings, Bsnl line condition, etc to try for an improvement.
