    1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

    2. ID and password is admin.

    3. Browse through the pages.

Which mode do you use ? PPPoE or Bridge. In Bridge mode, you use a dialler in which ID and password is entered. In PPPoE ID and password is stored in the modem and you can connect to internet by simply switching ON the modem.

WIFI mode not working in DNA A211 -I

When your LAN connection was working Reset(REBOOT)
the modem to factory settings was a bad step.
Presume you restored the settings again for Internet working In Lan mode.
Now see this link. ( . Follow the steps given.
    Modem menu pages are identical.)

The SSID you had given in the router should appear in the computer Wireless networks Page.

    Copy/paste this data here.
Only for LAN and Wireless net work connections
    Start RUN type cmd
    OK
    New window opens
    type ipconfig /all

Is this for desktop or laptop ?
Check your IP and send PM to me
will access router to check all settings.
    Your Computer LAN settings Ok.
Your computer WLAN settings seem suspect.
Can you access network settings page and compare ?
example page from XP pro sp3 ( mine)

    RECAP:
    PROBLEM in MAC OS
DNA A211-1 "PPPoE always On "
my laptop says connected to the network no actual data transfer happens. when connected to an ethernet cable the intternet works fine

Sorry for late post. was stuck up in an useless discussion elsewhere..

in PIC12 ( try to enable all: last).
Picture 13 : delete entry Uncheck Box
    passive FTP (?)
    Picture 14 : Ethernet Any other option/s
MTU can be changed to 1492.
Picture 15. seems PPPoE not connected.
Please make changes one by one . then try.

In the modem in LAn page check the DHCP range given. Make it say 192.168. 1.2 to 192.168.1.10
( also enable UPnP if box seen )

In Modem Diagnostics page . with laptop in WIFI mode check status.
    Feedback.
