Angry 750 Unlimited plan from Bsnl slow speed

I have 750 Unlimited plan from Bsnl.....[I had change it from 250 to 500 to 750]
I have got a not so good speed of about 60-70 kbps...
But a few days back suddenly my speed got decreased to 30-35 kbps....
I thought it was because of some virus or malware, so I formatted my computers's entire harddisk after scanning it with many antivirus and anti-ware softwares one by one [But of no use]..
I booked a complain and they took my modem and they return it the next day saying that the problem was from the exchange..
I plugged back the modem and still no use...
    Please help Me.......................

Below is the URL of the image of the speed test that I ran just now.....Please copy it to your address bar...........

Usually you will get 30 to 35kBps from an 256kbps connection...
I am also an 750ul+ user and nearly 2yrs am getting that speed...
If you want more speed means upgrade your plan buddy....

BSNL has doubled the speed for UL plans last April. Now the offer is over. Hence you are getting normal speeds. Check this

    Hi..
I just used a Bandwidth Monitor and the Observation is SHOCKING......
    Below is the Image......
    Please Go through it...

Another thing is that when I use Bittorrent or anything to download it is shown in
kBps but infact it is kbps... I am damn sure about it as when it is downloading at 35kBps
It ios infact more than 256 kbps.
So I could download a file of 1 MB in 4seconds and 100 MB in 40 seconds.
But I need 1 hour and 10 Minutes to download a file of 100 mb........

Even same has happned to me too. i m on 750ul plan and till one month before till around end of march i was getting upto 2mbps speed since long long time and i never noticed that bsnl only gives 256kbps to there 750ul users. last month my no. was shifted to new exchange build near my house and suddenly my speed was down to around 256kbs my userid was also changed in this. in jaipur where i live i was told by bsnl that they have two saperate network one on dataone server which i thing start with 203 where i use to connect earlier and other is bsnlportal which start from 117 which i m now. i also i have IPTV so i receive best SNR margins around. and what i have observed that if u have IPTV connection you will enjoy some better speed than normal. i have now applied for plan change to ul1000 let see what happnes when my new plan will start in next month. as they give 1mpbs in this plan

I downloaded a software today cfosspeed and the result was surprising. my download speed got busted to more than 100KB and then i checked on speedtest.net and i was really amazed see the constant speed of more than 1mbps which also confirmed my download speed for more than 100KB which i got. (1024/8=128KB) and in morning only bsnl engineer came and he told me that in ul750 plan i can't get more than 30-40 kb download speed.
speed is really busted but it had made my computer little slow as may be i m using very old intel P3 with only 512MB ram. but i think it wont affect on newer computers with higher ram. check my image attachment too see my downloading file speed

That's right. 256 kbps(kilo bits per second) means 32 KBps (kilo bytes per second.)

hello to all here you are all discussing for bsnl 750 plan speed problem, so after reading your comments i suggest you beam unlimited plans which offers 1mbps at 850 but as they mentioned unlimited which is not complete true only thing is that there is a speed limit after a certain limit of usage. For example in 2mbps the speed after 50GB usage downgrades to 768kbps.

so check out for beam unlimited plans if you want best speeds.

Sorry buddy i'm facing the same plight since last 2 weeks i had good speeds and was downloading movies. Now to download a 300mb movie i have to wait for 3 hours flat. Mine is a 500Home plan with 2-8 happy hours and speeds from 256 to 2mbps.
When contacted they citied SNR reasons for which nobody at exchange is well trained to deal with situations. Now i'm getting speeds 28-30kbps not stable even though.
My suggestion is to switch to MTS if you have in your place and check speed on your system. Ask for a demo. They have a 999 unlimited plan per month.
