I used to get around 27 KBps. Average on 25. Poll may not be a success. Members get confused by Kilo bits and Kilo Bytes. Look at the poll, already two entries say 20 - 30 Kbps.

I am generally against all kinds of speed polls. It does not serve any purpose.

If someone has a speed issue, it is better to get it resolved via forum help and contacting the ISP, if required.

@Akshay: Listen bro by 256 kbps we all mean 32 KB/s note the capital "B" and small "b" Bytes and bits are two different thing.

    So in simple words,

Your maximum possible download speed is 32 KB/s and all the people having that plan have that speed or below that depending on the condition. So its useless to create a poll.

According to me in 250 Plan, I think that the speed you have given above is a bit less......

I m from jaipur and till 25days i was getting speed of 1.5mbs to 2mbs connection speed and around 150KB-250KB of data download speed but then my no. was shifted to some other exchange and the things changed now i m getting speed of 256kb with download dataspeed of around 30kb - 35kb. Earlier i thought that something gone worng with the connection and i complained to BSNL but now i come to know that 256kb is the speed for plan and earlier it was like some lottery i was enjoying and with shift of exchange every thing changed.
But now my upload speed has got increased to around 350kb- 400kb which was earlier less.

    1. Mention your BSNL plan.

    2. Mention your modem - model and make.

    3. Is your's a new connection ? For new connection, there was an offer for 2 Mbps unlimited for 15 days.

Also the speed of unlimited plan was doubled for the month of April.

No I am not a new user i am using bsnl broadband since it was launched and my plan is 750ul since they have launched this plan i have used 3 modems in this period and they were from huwai, wifi modem from iti and now i m using nokia siemens wifi four output socket moden as i have IPTV too. and i was enjoying that high speed from long time and i never noticed that that in my plan which is ul750 bsnl only give 256kbs speed not upto 2mbps what was i was enjoying. All this was changed in lastmonth only when they shifted my no. in there new exchange and in this exchange my userid too got changed as i was earlier on there dataone server and not i m on bsnlportal server (as i was told by bsnl people). dataone server is on G.DMT mode and this new server is on ADSL+2 and i think this one has a tigher software for speed as earlier i was on the same plan as enjoying very high speed of 2mpbs. Now i have given application to change my plan to 1000ul plan where they are claiming to give 1mbps speed. lets see what happens in next month when my new plan will start.
