I have a Huawei Smartax MT841 which I am using for couple of years now. Off-late it is behaving very strangely, it so happens that whenever modem is restarted with PCMIA card in the modem slot the modem would keep rebooting endlessly. However if I remove the card and boot it with LAN cable connected then the modem would work normally. Now the interesting thing is if I log on to the Modems' index page (using 192.168.1.1) and press save all button, with PCMIA card in the modem slot then, at times it would boot just fine. However this does not happens always.
Few things I would like to add are
1. I have never updated my firmware, as I reckon it cannot be a firmware issue (as modem does boots up at times)
2. This is always happens after the restoration of power (as modem is connected to inverter and it restarts when power is restored.
3. When I try to hard reset my modem using reset button, it doesn't changes anything, i.e; it doesn't resets modem.
4. I read in one of the posts somewhere that it could be because of the condenser of the power supply (12V DC). However on changing the power supply the issue still persists.
Can anyone help me in this respect?
