Thread: Port forwarding Please Help!

I need help regarding port forwarding for utorrent...I have BSNL dataOne Broadband connection along with this Teracom modem Type 1 ADSL 2+ CPE / Router
model no T1-B-DSL699E9.4U6-5
So please anyone help me how to forward port so that i can
use utorrent without any problem.

port forwarding need when you are in PPPOE mode, make sure you are in PPPOE mode and not in Bridge mode.

If you use Windows XP then there is no need of port forward, Your Router has UPNP enable, Your Utorrent will automatically set the UPNP port mapping.

Go to your utorrent configuration windows by Options - Preferences, then go to connection, check on UPNP and NAT-PNP port mapping, altho those options are check on by default.

How to chek your utorrent port is forwarded or not.

before cheacking it make sure your Firewall or Antivirus with Internet security configure correctly with application Utorrent.

Go to Options - Speed Guide and click on the tab Test if port is forwarded properly it will open up a web page and you can see the result.
