    Default Plan Change

Normally how long does it take to activate a plan change ??

I have opted for a plan change from BB 500 to ULF 1100. I gave the request on 30th May. On 31st I got a call from my exchange confirming the request. And from around 5 PM in the evening my internet stopped working. Even today its not working. So when will the plan be activated ??

Normally, it take one week. To confirm plan change, go to data.bsnl.in, under postpaid orders, enter the telephone no in the prescribed format and hit " search order ". Check the plan status for provisioned. Also check the effective date. If in doubt, blacken the personal details and post the screen shot here.

Not sure why internet stopped working. Not normal. You may check with the local exchange for the reason.

My user ID is in dataone domain. So cant open my account details in bsnl.data.in.

So is there any other way to check the plan change status.

Hi, I just saw this thread, and would like to remind you that for newer flexi plans (the auto-speed change ones), it is a prerequisite that the user should be on the MP aka P3 (117.xx.xx - bsnl.in) network.

Kindly confirm this from your local exchange. It may be possible that you have been shifted to the new network, for which you will be given a new set of IDs and passwords.

Source of info.: My local exchange

Ya, when i contacted my local exchange they said me the same. They'll be providing me a new portal ID and password, and that is why my internet stopped working. Also said that the plan change will be activated in a couple of days.

And so where can I check the status of my plan change ??

    1) I guess this is a catch 22 situation, as you won't be able to check the status of plan change without first possessing a portal ID and password to log in to the data.bsnl.in domain.

In the meantime, kindly check this site, whether you get any status on your request:
    http://www.chennai.bsnl.co.in:8181/O...s/ANStatus.asp
    (assuming you're in Chennai)

    2) You will also be given a username and password to actually connect to the internet. Are you aware of ppoe?

    3) And finally, you will also be given a username and password for the new email account that comes along with this BB plan.

Hope this helps somehow. Patience helps a lot when dealing with BSNL.

I got the user ID and password today and VOILA. Working fine. Gotta see a few more days.

And most importantly Im getting speeds of upto 4Mbps on Speedtest. I've a run the test quite a few times and every time getting somewhere in that range. Surprised, but not sure whether this will continue for long.

    My speedtest results .....

I actually changed my plan to ULF 1100. But I couldn't confirm the plan coz Im not able to login into data.bsnl.in

It repeatedly shows "Enter valid user ID & password". Since I got this plan activated only today, does it mean that i will have to wait some more time before I could login to that site .. ??

The user name which you use to dial your connection is not your portal id(which is used to log in data.bsnl.in)...however the password is probably the same...your portal id should look like ' abc*********** '
Check whether you have the portal id or not...

They just gave me a user ID and password. And that doesn't seem to work on data.bsnl.in

Have to call my exchange to get the Portal ID and pass.

Hey I had mentioned in my previous post that you will get three pairs of usernames and passwords:

    1. for your ppoe
    2. for the portal login
    3. for the mail login

And getting 4 mbps speed may be possible, remember that your 10GB limit will drain away equally fast .

Can you prove that fact that if a user is on 2Mbps then how he can get the 512KB/S speed?
If this is possible,Please mention how??

I called the exchange and got my Portal and Mail ID's. And ya the 10GB limit kinda s#cks. But except UL750, none of the unlimited plan is worthy. Will use this plan some time and if not satisfied, will prob change to UL750.

UL1350 with 1mbps and unlimited would be a gr8 plan, but with BSNL ??

    2) How they will charge, proportionate basis or 15days rent for 1350plan ?

1.Plan change happens normally on 1st week,on the basis of workload it depends on "Technical Staff"!
2.No the charges will be on the proportionate basis!
You give the application in the tomorrow morning!!

My user ID for PPPoE and Mail ID's are working fine. But still im not able to access data.bsnl.in with the Portal ID which they gave me. It shows "Please enter valid user ID and password".

When I contacted my exchange they are just saying to try after some time. Its been 4-5 days and still Im not able access my Portal.

Normally does it take some days or you can just access the site right after getting the Portal ID ??

They had given me the wrong ID. Got corrected today and am able to access the Portal site.

In Postpaid Orders, it shows my new plan is "Provisioned" and effective from 8/6/10. When i checked my usage, it shows chargeable units upto 7/6/10, and from 8/6/10 the usage shows 0.

So has my plan been changed and how will be the billing for this month ??
