Exclamation BSNL Internet Problem, please help

    Hello Friends,
I have a serious speed problem in my internet connection.
    The situation is such that:
when i click on bsnl icon to connect, the connection starts.
now when i open any browser (majorly firefox) to open a web page and type any website name, firstly it takes too much time in LOOKING UP FOR "<WEBSITE NAME>". and after that it shows "Server not found".
when i again repeat the process after 5 or 10 minutes, the web page opens easily. and after a little passage of time, same problem is there.

Same problem exists while downloading a file.
    sometimes speed=0, sometimes downloading.

I am very frustrated due to that problem.
please tell me a solution, why this problems appears to me?

Change your DNS servers to either the Open DNS ones - 202.68.222.222, 202.68.220.220 or Google DNS. A friend of mine had the same problem and upon changing the DNS, everything worked fine thereafter.

Click on the Network Connectivity Icon in the lower right hand corner, then click on the "Open network and Sharing Center".
A new window opens up, now in that click on the "Local Area Connection"
A new dialog box opens up, now in that click on the "Properties" Button in the lower left of the dialog box.
Another dialog box opens up,click on "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)"
Now click on "Properties", your LAN card dialog box opens up, click on "Obtain an IP address automatically"
Click on " Use the following DNS server addresses" and then enter -
    "202.67.222.222"
"202.67.220.220" in the upper and lower "Preferred DNS server" and "Alternate DNS server" . Click on "OK". Restart your Modem.

You can also use the Google DNS servers - "8.8.8.8" & "8.8.4.4". Update on status after changing of DNS server.
