Thread: unable to configure beetel 450tc1 for desktop

Hi All & Essbebe,

Using BSNL broadband connection with pppoe always on with DHCP option.

Can someone please help me configur the 450tc1 for desktop wired access as the sys when connected says acquiring network address ie; its trying to handshake with the router but is unable to do so, dono whats the problem and the connection is not established.

I am using GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L motherboards onboard ethernet interface, checked wire its working fine the port on router is also fine, as i am able to connect laptop using the same port and wire interface.

Any advise on this would be of great help and highly appreciated.

check in Bsnl Links Item No 2 Calcutta telephones or Bsnl MP web sites.
Wa 3002-G1 wifi settings.

Test in lan ethernet mode first.
then remove Rj45 from computer end.
or
try "Always On" PPP/PPPoE and uncheck
"Bridged'"(Dialer) in Wan page and enter UserId/PW in modem
Also in networks settings LAN/WLAN
obtain Ip address automatically.

POSTipconfig /all
only for WLAN network settings.
IPV6 tunnel etc not required.

Thanks for replying. Well as i mentioned i am not having problem accessing wifi as its working fine, the problem is accessing the connection on desktop Wired connection (Note: no wifi available on desktop).

As i am not able to establish connection on desktop system, laptop is working fine.

some problem with desktop ethernet configuration which is being encountered with model 450tc1, as the earlier model UT 300R2U was woking fine and never had prob connecting the desktop to it.

Also can u tell me how to check wether the ethernet port is working fine perfectly or not (i checked with loopback ip add and its replying fine without any prob), any other way which can be used to get accurate results or can u tell me all the basic configuration to be done so that i would do it again to see if it helps.

Post ipconfig /all for both Lan ethernet port for desktop and WLan wifi connection. for laptop.
Did you select dhcp in modem ?
Allot Ip address automatically in both Desktop and Laptop?
Beetel 450TC1 is same as wa3002_g1
check in Bsnl links No2 for settings.

Or do you have an ethernet card for Lan connection in laptop? disable WIFI and try.
Earlier access modem and Back up present settings to say
C:/My Documents /Wifi only working.
