    Default slow download speeds

    For the last 3-4 days i have been experiencing very slow download speeds with pages not loading fast. I am on plan 1350 and i ought to get 512 kbps (~62KB/s) but i am getting 80kbps(~10-14KB/s). These speeds are on utorrent with torrents from private tracker having 40 seeds.


    I am not able to check my speeds on speedtest.net or dataone.in coz of slow speeds. I mean in speedtest.net it works upto getting latency(which is 40-50) but when it begins to test download speed nothing happens even when i kept it as it is for atleast half hour.

    Any suggestions?

    Save current settings of modem to say C:/My Documents/mt880 dl speed low.
    Now RESET the modem and try again.
    You can also try ADSL2 + mod mode.
    If Annex M option seen disable it.

    just checked my speed on Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test.
    Results came good. Tested 4 times.


    So i think its better not to experiment with modem settings for now.
    Will check speed again tomorrow morning.

    my speeds are again slow
    it is fluctuating high slow high slow.
    What could be the reason?

    I resetted modem. Tested speeds on new cfg. Still slow
    Then i loaded backup.cfg still slow.

    1. ONLY BSNL can solve your problem
    2. Solution is simple , call 198 and lie them that your connection is highly unstable and DSL lamp goes ON and OFF every 10 min.

    After this they HAVE to check your line and if any issues found, they HAVE to fix it and it will help you getting good speed as your line is now clear.

    Ya the only solution is that you should report to 198 and tell them that the dsl continously blinks
    After a line man comes to check it, see the speed
