may be something wrong in the internal wiring of telephone in a house
    or
some problem in ur area hub
sometimes due to heat one line wire may contact with other and that cause often connecting problem talk to ur lineman about it.
do not panic if this is not a problem they maybe them self lay a "new wiring"

Get your line checked, complain them about the line problem.
And check the splitter connection, all the telephone connections should be connected after the splitter,if the problem persists, please tell

    Default Check your wiring

6.00pm : My BB stopped working today. Dsl led was blinking often, frequent disconnections.
6.30pm : I went to the terrrace, checked out the wires. And i found the fault. It was a loose joint. Fixed it. Dsl light on my nokia modem glowing steadily now. Net connection back in 1/2 hr.

    Get your wiring checked pronto.

You want detailed info ? I thought my earlier post was self explanatory. Ok. Ill explain.

The joint on my copper cable pair wire (on the terrace) didnt look good. It had a greenish deposit (oxidised copper i suppose) on it. So i cut off the dirty greenish part of the wire and made a new joint. And my BB was working again.
The fault at your place could be at :
    1. Copper wiring
    2. DP box
    3. Junction box.

    Hopefully its clear now.
