    Angry BSNL is cheating its customers

    BSNL is cheating its customers by sying Dataone Unlimited 256 kbps and giving a very slow speed most times of 40 to 80 kbps. And also it comes with free continous disconnection. You need to redial to connect.

    Most of the time the DataOne 256 Unlimited broadband connection is not reliable because of its low speeds. Even if your computer has good configuration, the speeds are very low. If you need to check its speed you have to wait till early morning 3am. Then you can see its speed of 256kbps.

    So its very clear that when more users log in in day time and in the evening the bandwidth is shared. If the customer is paying Rs.900/- per month just for 256kbps than he/she must get the 256kbps all the time even any number of users are connected. The quota must not be shared.

    The the worst thing is the customer care. Most time the oldies pick up the phone and doesnt have any knowledge about the bandwidth. And not only that, most of the time the customer care phone rings and no one picks up the call. customer care time 10:30am to 4:30pm (at that time only they will be in the office) and on sundays and holidays there is no customer care. So what BSNL says is that its customers must use the internet only between 10:30am to 4:30pm.

    What should we do with the BSNL officials?? Throw stones at them??

    Well pal, i have a HOME 500 Connection. It gives me 2.5 GB of free monthly usage with Download speeds upto 256 KBPS!! which simply means that it can download 1 MB @ 5-6 seconds(max). and i get same speed through day or night..

    well here are the solutions--
    1)u try using some "download accelerator" for downloading files from internet.. that would really increase your speeds
    2)u switch over to Home 500 plan coz i think it is the best value plan..
    and it gives a free usage from 2AM to 8:00 AM..
    and i have downloaded more than 20GB's of data this month using this feature!

    I want to know your area bcoz you are telling downloaded more than 20GB's of data this month using free unlimited usage between 2 to 8 a.m.. How ever in my place, i.e. uttarpara(Hooghly/Kolkata) the download speed goes as low as 5 kbps during 2 to 8 A.M. but after 8 a.m. the download speeds become normal i.e. around 210 kbps.please reply.

    this is clearly a matter of connection/area traffic . i am receiving a speed of 280 kbps just withmy basic 250 plans . bsnl dataone is very new here and not many people here is having a bsnl broadband.

    you may try few registry tweaks it might help ( it helped me during my dial up days)

    iam usin the same home 500 plan n iv also downloaded about 20 gb last month b/n 2am-8am.(since it is free).but wen the bill came i wonderd ..its around 4000 /-.Hows this happnin????one thing am sure that ididn download any durin other times...please help me yaaa..

    please reply me as soon as possible .

    u hav to restart ur modem and get a new ip at 2:00 or extra billing!!

    i downloaded 67GBs last month and dint get even 1re extra!!

    search through the forum!the admin has posted a guide on preparing script for restartin the modem at 2

    u hav to change some settings to get good speeds!!go to ur modem settings and change mtu size to 1492

    google for "dsl tweaks"

    and dont call customer care!its not worth wasting your time

    Hi i think u r not satisfied with thiss 900 plan. U better change the plan to 500 home.. see wat ever u r downloading whole day, am downloading with in 5 hours. That is the major diff. between u and us. (last month i was downloaded 79gb and i got only the 500 rs + tax only). and am wel satisfied with the speed.

    so u better change ur plan...

    I have never experienced any speed problems with Dataone. Mostly it will be a localised problem.

    @ asok_5495 If u are a newer subscriber of BSNL Broadband, u need to use http://p3hosting.bsnl.in:9080/BroadBandCustomerPortal/ to check your account usage.

    Default BSNL Broadband Installation Charges - Cheating by Franchise

    I am a new subscriber to Dataone. I got my ADSL modem installed by Franchise of Transport Nagar Exchange, Agra. His name is Manoj Gupta. His mobile No is: 09411602922. He charged me Rs. 250/- towards installation of modem on 7.1.2008. Next day I enquired from SDO about it. He informed that modem installation is free. There are no charges. He contacted Mr. Manoj before me and issued stern warning and instructed to refund my Rs. 250/-. This fellow did not turn up to return my money. It is simply a case of cheating.

    Such franchise should be blacklisted. A press note should be released to prevent cheating of new subscribers

    bro as per ur problem is , it is not the problem of bsnl but it is the prob with ur internet line.. try getting up checked by ur line man. and as u think so bsnl does not share its bandwidth. it is one to one bandwidth method.

    I really worry about BSNL BROADBAND. For many sleeping wholes in their company. They just ignore to work. BSNL BROADBAND dont have a customer service. I am really getting harassed by this persons. I have mailed my complains for so many time to so many Officers of BSNL. But none of them replied me. Even not receiving confirmation.

    you can get download accelerator from Download Accelerator Plus - Free Download Manager and it is used to download files from internet.

    Can someone please post the script required to restart the modem at 2 am in the night.
    It would be a real pain to actually get up in the middle of the night just to connect.

    Angry Bsnl Is Really Cheating

    bsnl is really cheating their coustemers in their so called unlimited download plans.ihad using home500 plan since last 11 months and getting speeds upto 250kbps,and after moving to 999 unlimited plan my speed is paralyzed to steep 35 to 45 kbps.that means i was downloding 2 to 4 times more data in home 500 planthan my existing 999 unlimited plan.they are just cheats you by fancy "unlimited download" word & they gives you much slower & creepy download speeds then any limited usage plan.:
