Thread: BSNL Wifi Anygood?

I am planning to buy the Wifi (router+modem) combined box type II soon. I want to know is it worth buying it or is it fine continuing paying rent for my LAN modem. I use laptop with LAN connection (WLAN b/g configuration there for my laptop which i never used). If i buy it then can i use it for other ISPs in future if i change city?

You can surrender the Type 1 adsl modem and take on rent Type II wifi router fro Bsnl. If satsisfactory, buy later.
Or retain adsl modem on rent and buy wifi router netgear WGR614V9 etc for about Rs 1500/=
all will work for all ISPs , except cable Isps which may require cable modem.

Plz buy modem of make Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, etc. The cost will be a bit high but u can have peace of mind forever and setting up of these routers is very easy. Plz avoid junk stuffs...
