    Default BSNl Home 500 getting extra speed !

    hey from a month or two i am getting extra speed in bsnl home 500 plan like speed fluctuates betweem 230 kBps to 300 kBps are you guys also experiencing this ?

    and yes this speed is not for like two three minutes only its same all the time !

    I do not trust you........give the snapshoot of the average speed you are getting in utorrent. If it is something like 220 KB/s then you are getting the speed you would get in this plan.

    Go to http://192.168.1.1 enter username and password admin , admin and then go to DSL STATUS and see the RATES there and copy paste here.

    Torrent speeds are not the most preferred manner of gauging speeds. Check the connection with IDM while doing http downloads.

    yes that`s true. try to download a file from cnet or microsoft server with a downloader and see the average speed.

    here is the average spped for that torrent for few torrent i get avg speed of more than 239 KBps but unfortunately i deleted that torrent i will post them in future if i get that speed !

    It will be better if you give the result of Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test here.

    and this is home 500 plan only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    To get A one should get ping less than 50 ms with 0% packet loss that I was getting upto March but after that only B with 60-65 ms ping with 0% packet loss.
