    Cool Bsnl Broadband 750 Unlimited Plus Problem in International Sites

    I am having a problem sometimes in a day download speed comes to 60 kbps but sometimes 2 kbps as if i download from bsnl Sites

    Firmware
    speed goes upto 280 kbps but from hotfile or other international sites it comes down.I tried external Dns not working and ip change no improvement .and also no disturbance in line .scanned with norton 2010 fully updated no virus found.I am on PPPoe. I am using Nokia Siemens Modem in Windows 7 Enterprise X86 .
    Contacted Exchange and Sdo telephone they suggest line is ok but Internet is Ok in in my line.Problem is there fron 2nd June.
    Plz any Suggestions to improve it or anyone to help me

    BSNL BB network is having a tough time trying to accomodate the heavy loads (induced by the recent upgradation of the speeds).

    I would recommend the OP to wait for some days for the situation to improve.

    i am using opera and firefox but same trouble of speed first it was nice upto 30kbps before upgardation of speeds for plans i tried a fresh laptop on my connection but poor results of speed like in morning speed is ok upto 60 kbps but as day continues speed falls upto 2kbps till midnight .

    What is the average speed you get when you do http downloads? I mean when you download using a download manager..

    The average speed on a download manager when net is slow is 2.8kbps to 5.9 kbps otherwise in morning it is ok to 65 kbps .i tried both dap and internet download manager while in utorrent it is also slow to 10kbps .anyone help me

    PLz anyone Help to improve my connection speed

    There has been international network congestion for the last week or so on BSNL.

    It is intermittent and the problem comes up and fairly random times, but fairly regular between the 6am-8am period and then again at around 11:30 to around 3pm .

    I have made other threads about this but no one seems to be interested.

    Latencies gradually go up to 500-550ms over the span of about 15 minutes then remain that way for a few hours.

    DNS servers/Tunnelling/proxy servers almost certainly won't change anything (there are no good proxy servers for India anyway).


    The problem is most likely not just local or BSNL, it's there almost everywhere in India.

    In fact, I found quite a few posts about this international congestion on Australia's internet forums: Post your speeds 8pm to 1am congestion - AAPT - Whirlpool Forums

    Either BSNL is using cheap and garbage routing, or yet another undersea cable fault happened somewhere.

    Talking Bsnl: Either inefficient or callous

    I have the same problem here at Bhubaneswar albeit a bit differently.
    My plan is Home 1350 UL, speed promised was 2.0 mbps upto 15GB & thereafter, 512 kbps. However, I noticed that whenever I downloaded a file, the download would begin with about 100 KBps, but would gradually drop down to 58 KBps in 5 seconds. This has been happening since 1-8-2010.
    After several complaints, I was told by people at Bhubaneswar Telephone Bhawan that the telephone line is faulty with some L5, L6, L7 etc showing very low values like 70/80 in place of 1060. I was told to pursue the matter with the local SDO-Phones to get the cable pair changed. (They themselves would not pursue the matter.)
    After some more "pursuing", the line was changed by the SDO. But the problem did not go. Now they feel they have reached their wit's end. Shall we say that they are technically very competent??
    I have a feeling that after scaling down the connectivity from 2.0 mbps to 512 kbps during july after the download limit was reached, the speed has not been restored back to 2.0 mbps on the 1st of August.
    When requested to ascertain the connectivity speed from their subscriber data base, SURPRISINGLY, the people at Telephone Bhawan told me that they have no means of knowing this! They can only tell to which plan I belong to, but cant tell what is the connectivity speed for my telephone line.
    Efficient ? Responsive ?

    no wonder with bsnl the people working there are to rigid to accept the changes as new technology has put a lot of work over head on them the technical persons hired newly have to make up with such fools who are not techinically sound and dont want to be either or nor they r bothered for the money common person is paying for this service they are there for just signing musters ang counting loads of salary they have to be nipped in....... to work or the conditions r going to b worst in every feild and one punch line for all service providers "they will never admit their mistakes even if god comes and tells they r wrong"
