Default Perhaps no need for Download manager anymore

    Hi !
This is a information that BSNL is really doing good with their software for recoding Data usage as there is a cut point always at 2.00AM and 8.00 AM for recording usage data. I've done a mistake yesterday by setting my Computer clock 1 hr ahead of real time. So my download starts 1.09 AM instead of 2.09 AM which is I used to set other day. But today in Data usage showing a clear cut in 2.00 AM and I'm relieved. I've noticed samething at 8.00 AM few days before when I forgot to stop the download at 7.45 AM. Please feed me back all of your same experience. I'll post the actual image later on.

Yes, it is always better to play safe with BSNL. Start downloading after 2am and stop it before 8am ..

If BSNL is doing that then it is really great. I left that plan only because I got more than 1000 of bill in 3-4 months.

i have been seeing this for the past 3 months. anyway i don't download much now so not very keenly interested. and nowadays i don't reboot the router. here's a snapshot. if u still fear being charged just check for yourself. Let the router run(don't download ) without rebooting from 7:50am to 8:10am and check usage(it'll take a day for usage page to get updated) and confirm and post ur results here.

Some circles still problem is there. meter does not restart
    automatically at 0800AM.
Also if you can try a test download between say
0145AM AND 0230AM and post screen shot it will be helpful.
    Or
Just keep the modem on between 1210 AM & 0810AM.
    System can be off.

i'm not downloading nowadays. and i don't want to get up at 1:50am for this test(its not of much use to me). maybe someone else can perform it and post the results. but i think chennai bsnl doesn't have that overcharge problem that ajai5777 faced.

    No special effort needed !
Simply forget to switch off the modem at say 1100PM when you switch off your system. In the morning start your computer as usual.
    next check the usage page.
It is expected only "handshake" traffic data with modem , will be recorded by Bsnl portal usage meter.
    WARNING:
Some have complained of heavy download/s EVEN when their system was off!!!
Chennai users ( Ip 117.xx.xx.xx) also have to access http://data.bsnl.in to check usage.

lolzz you dont have to get up at 2 AM you can schedule your downloads and have sound sleep at 10-11 PM
you can schedule your PC so that it starts at say 2.AM then reboots your router and starts your download and again shuts the pc too.
