    The route:
    BSNL Server/BSNl Phone port=>> ADSL Splitter=>.Modem Port==>>Rj11 to modem===rj45 to ==>> computer
    ( also Splitter PHONE port===>>> all PHONES)
    1.
    Select your modem/router from link/s below.
    2
    copy/paste here Data ipconfig /all
    3.
    Confirm telephone is working.
    4.
    Confirm
    using "Dialer" mode ( userId pw in computer window)
    or
    "Always On " PPP/PPPoE ( USERID PW entered in WAN page of modem )

    Try "Always on " PPP/PPPoE mode.
    Uncheck "bridged' in modem WAn page.
    Enter userId/PW in wan page etc.

    Mention always modem/model/make/number or
    Select from link/s given below for settings.

    Para two ;
    post ipconfig /all data
    Procedure for XP/vista windows 7

    Ok
    new window opens
    type
    ipconfig /all
    copy/paste data here ( No edit )

    Default Same Issue

    I also "faced" the same PPP down in my D-Link 2640 and tested again using the Bsnl's modem which didnt show green glow at all after the 1st "blink". only yellow was glowing on it. Those were the case for more than 2 whole days till 26/June. the problem was solved when i called the exchange and complained about it 2 days earlier. I am "very assured" that this PPP down issue isnt a user's nor modem's fault at this "season" since bsnl is the worst in broadband 750UL plan in my town i believe is their screw up.

    Advice: Call your local town bsnl customer care (not 1500 or toll free number which is a waste of time) and tell them to fix it.

    P.S Im from Karaikal, Puducherry state. Telecom under Kumbakonam circle
