Thread: Urgently Need help cant configure my internet setup

My Adsl Modem Had Just Died.I Bought A New Linksys Wrt54gh And I am unable to connect my internet connection forget Wlan i'm not even getting connected through Lan.Plz someone help me step by step to configure my router.The Cd they have provided is of no use.It always prompts no internet connection detected.Plz Help me brothers

confirm adsl modem/model/make/number which you used to connect to Internet.
Confirm Linksy's WRT54GH is an ADSL modem +4 lan Port + wifi router.

The Adsl Modem was Siemens sl2 141.The Linksys modem has 4 Lan Port One Internet(Wan) Port And its Wireless Router

As Siemens Sl2_141 is ADSl modem+4port +wifi
you have to use it connect to Internet and then the linksys
Can you access Siemen's menu pages?

2. You need to buy an ADSl modem to use with Linksy's WRT54GH.

Linksys Wrt54gh is not an ADSL router it's a DSL router.
It does not support your phone line unless you use a ADSL router before it.

If possible return your Linksys Wrt54gh and bring ADSL Modem.
ADSL modem has RJ11 port for phone connection.
