Default Unable to reach BSNL, Cellone sites

System: XP, Teracom wi fi modem, 256Kbps U/L broadband, AVG Anti virus, Zone Alarm firewall.
    Location: Pune

For past one week I am not able to open bsnl(dot)co(dot)in
    cellone(dot)in with any browser - Firefox, IE6 & Chrome

    I get msgs like
Oops! Firefox could not find bsnl site
Oops! Firefox could not find cellone site

Above sites cannot be opened either on my pc or my wifi laptop.

I am able to open all other websites open without any problem.

I've cleared the cache, temp files folder etc. but still no luck.I've spoken to BSNL but they have yet to suggest a remedy.

Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

    1. Disable firewall and try.

    2. Disable anti virus and try.

    3. Try Opera Turbo or proxy and check.

    4. Change DNS to Open DNS (208.67.222.222,b 208.67.220.220) or Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4).

    5. Clear browser cache and try.

Disabled firewall and tried. No luck.
AVG 9.0 does not have any option to shut it down.
Cleared Firefox cache and tried. No luck.
Where and how do I access and change DNS?

For AVG, right click the icon in the system tray and choose " exit ".

    To change DNS,

Network connections > Select your connection > Right click > Properties >TCP/IP properties, change DNS

    AVG9 options are
Open AVG interface, scans, update now & help. Nothing that says exit.

My friend brought his laptop, connected thru wifi and we were able to open bsnl and cellone sites.

How is it possible that both the laptop and pc have the same problem?
The common items are Zone Alarm and AVG.

Obviously something in my pc and laptop is preventing access to these sites.

Tried changing DNS ? You may combine both Google and Open DNS.

Set preferred DNS as 208.67.222.222 and alternate dns as 8.8.8.8.

    Also try a proxy.

Meetdilip, I first disabled Zone Alarm, uninstalled AVG and then changed the DNS as per your advice and logged on. Voila, bsnl, cellone sites opened up and I was able to pay my bills online. Thanks for the help.
