Default Configure ZyXEL P-660R-T1 For BSNL BB

Could someone please give me a step-by-step guide to configure ZyXEL P-660R-T1 for BSNL broadband?

I tried configuring it the same way as Beetel 220BX but there are many more Settings and Options and I'm not able to do it correct.

Also I have downloaded the latest firmware, and upgrading must be done via FTP, it asks for a Remote File Name (ras) , what could it be?

Only change you need to make for a third party modem to work with BSNL is changing VPI/VCI values to 0 - 35. Also enter the ID and password need to be entered without @ bsnl.in

    @Chakra
    1.
Do not try Firmware etc now itself.not needed.
    2.
As mentioned above, VPI VCI 0 and 35 is the most critical setting for BSNL.
    3.
If you access the RESET switch, press it for about 20 to 30 seconds and restore Factory settings.
    4.
Assuming a link 0_35 is available in " Bridged" mode
you can try an external "Dialer ".
    or
    5.
If any "Wizard" is available follow procedure.
    6.
wait ....... I will give links little later.
Please check this link for screen shots etc. may be similar to your model.

Thanks for the help, the reason for the problem was because I had forgotten to change the vales 1/32 to 0/35, and essbebe thanks a lot for giving the link to the manual.

The firmware of this router is damn old(2006), I've got the latest 2009 Firmware, but it does not upgrade it at all,
According to the manual the upgrade must be done via ftp, so checkout the screenshot, it asks for a "ras" I don't know what it is, checkout the attachment,

PS - I have tried to upgrade via the configuration page but it does not work.

confirm you are now connected to Internet and can surf all websites. either in Lan mode or WIFI mode or both.
    9.
If possible post as annexure Connection status showingFW version etc.

    10.
What is the present version and new version of FW ?

    11.
Unless essential,FW update ( from Unknown sources )is better avoided. reasons for FW update ?

    12.
The latest files seem to be 22nd Nov 2007 from official site. . check here.

    8. Yes, Internet working Ok, both in PPPOE and Bridge.

    9. Check attachment.

    10. It both says 3.40, older is AHN.0 newer is AGJ.4.

    11. Reason for upgrade is for Port Forwarding(Not currently present under NAT)

I came accross many people unable to upgrade the firmware as it is locked by the ISP, could this Router also be locked(Given by Airtel)?

Is there any way to unlock it?

    14.
Port forwarding options will be available in "Always on Mode "
    15.
In "Bridged' mode all ports are open. DMZ can be used.
    try 192.168.1.1/main.html.
    16.

    17.
    I don't have this modem !
    18.
Avoid FW update if PF etc are working.
    19. When you can connect to BSNl, there is no question of "locking' to a particular ISP.
    20.
From menu options ( in modem )select Back up present settings to say C:/My Documents/ Zyxcel working now.
    21.
IF needed, ( after you make changes and lose connection !)
RESET the modem to factory settings from menu settings or
hard RESET with the reset button. Restore backup file.

    @arunkhare

Select your modem from my signature links . ( if seen or from some other thread) )
    or confirm modem is ZYXEL.
Type modem details in SEARCH box above for old threads.
