    Question Need to go wireless...

    I have siemens c2110 modem(type 1) it has a LAN port and a usb.

I bought a Laptop and now I need to access wireless net in it.The lap has built in wifi.

I have a new modem available( type 6,wifi,4 lan port, i usb) but its 2000/- and they won't take back my old one.

So I want to use my existing modem to go wireless. the guys at BSNL told that there is a adaptor to plug to the LAN port of the modem that makes it wifi and also provide 4 LAN ports for wired connection.

Does such a thing exist? What's its cost? Is it a good Idea?

You will need a wireless router to use with C 2110 as wireless connection. Simply get a new wifi modem from BSNL for Rs. 1600 + tax or Rs. 80 monthly rent. I too get a new wifi modem from BSNL last month. Took it on Rs. 80 per month rent. I got AR 800 V v3.0. Working fine.

    I haven't returned my C2110 . Kept it as a back up .
