Lightbulb NetGear - Static IP issue

    Hi,
I have a 1 mbps BSNL connection, which I have been using for a long time without much issues with my DG834GT NetGear Wireless modem-router.

    • Recently, I have opted for the static IP so that we can host some web services. The issue is the DG834GT cannot be configured with a Static IP to dial and connect successfully.
    • Even though the option of setting the (static) IP is available, the subnet and the gateway cannot be set while using the "Login" mode of connecting.
    • Static IP with gateway and subnet can be fixed in the non-"Login" mode, that is without using the username and password provided by BSNL.

So, if any of you have been able to do it with a similar setup, replies are highly appreciated.

If you need any more info, PM me.

    Thanks,
    AL

Oh! Sorry about not updating the board... but the issue was resolved... as it turns out the BSNL guys were at their usual best... they had just given me the Static IP info, but had forgotten to configure it on their servers... D'oh!!

Thanks anyways for the help... It is appreciated...
