    Default Why I'm Dumping BSNL..

I have been a customer for Bsnl for almost 2 years, the first 6 months i had UL750, next i had UL1350, after all this years of being loyal to BSNL it was hard for me to take decision, but BSNL's new plans yevery year just suck, i don't know who does the planning there on BSNL but i really hate those guys, 15GB limit and then 512kbps again for RS 1500??? God i feel so sucked. The views here are based on Kolkata BSNL

    1) VERY BAD customer care. They don't know what they are selling, when i called customer care and asked about new plans , they said they don't know about new plans !!wow we know , were using them and they even don't know their plans have changed. I have complained 10-20 times to give my dp box a lid, the lid of dpbox in front of my home is open and there is noise in ph and new disconnects, they never came.

    2) They don't value customer, and they don't wan't to help them under any circumstance. and i personally hate that.

    3) I'm taking by new internet conn from Allianz Local Web, from cable network, they have great reputationa nd great price, my friends been using it for last 6 months , No complaints till now.

    4) I'm getting 512Kbps for 1500 in bsnl, where as from local cable network i'm getting 1MBPS during day and 2Mbps during night.

    5) They are fast, they gave my connection in 2 days !!

    6) And best of all (at-least for me) no modem needed which i find is great as i hate a separate device for internet.

This forum has helped me a lot over times , thak you all guys and girls.

you seem to be frustrated by FUP but in reality i support FUP because its needed to get network congestion free as possible you can see in lots of thread that BSNL users who do normal surf and download are crying for speeds because when FUP was not implemented every user is downloading like crazy thus choking down whole isp backbone.

At some level I think you are wright, but the whole 2 MBPS upto 15 gb and then 512 kb would not help any one to deal with congestion, they should base their caps on time basis or load basis i.e they could give less speed during day as lot of people are using net, and they should give more speed at night, as hardly any one would be surfing their net, they would be just downloading.

The FUP limit set by bsnl really does not help any one, and no other operators than BSNL and Airtel use this type of cap, tata, siffy and many other operators use these night and day plans which BSNL does not have, also night time for all other operators starts at about 9 pm, BSNLs 2 PM night slot is just wrong.

I hope you know what speeds other countries get without FUP...?

And btw, BSNL does not have FUP on unlimited 512 kbps plans, and people who don't have line issues do get the promised speed most of the time. At least that seems so in Poona.

The plans are decided by Senior Authorities including THE CMD Kuldeep Goyal, yes the plan sucks but for those who are not heavy downloaders it doesn't.Some are here more than 2 years old but still sticking to it!
Getting loyal to bsnl has resulted in Few good plans such as combo ones which include Free calls. Those crappy limits sucks for all heavy downloaders including other states say Karnataka,Chandigarh too!

    1)

I disagree, some are there who don't know about the services and the plans they are providing Not all! After complaining 10-20 times, still not even a single time the action has been taken, this can't be possible!

    2)

They value customers, they are really very busy! They want to help customers under EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES

    3)

You can go for it if bsnl doesn't suits you!

    4)

We are Now getting 64KB/S for 750rs.+10.3% taxes=827rs.total!Not 1489rs. which is equal to 1500s.(1350+10.3%taxes),They are providing such speed because they can't offer such Stability and reliability in matters of Speed that bsnl offers!

    5)
They are fast, they gave my connection in 2 days !!
Now a days you get a Bsnl landline+broadband connection in 7~12 days, max. is 12 days

    6)
And best of all (at-least for me) no modem needed which i find is great as i hate a separate device for internet.
Modem-Modulator~Demodulator,is a devices which converts analog signals to pc signals through telephone line,in that case any other service provider, even airtel you need modem, even in reliance if you select combo plans the modem is required, however the cable providers may not need modem!

This forum has helped me a lot over times , thak you all guys and girls.
We are always there to help you!
