Default back to square 1 for me, haha

I asked about bsnl, was willing to pay 900 monthly for good connection, they are saying documents are needed, ton of it, and I have to go to offices, not only that, even passport wont cut it, I dont know what all do I need, but its too lengthy to go just for 1 connection!

I still got reliance, was thinking of keeping both, but reliance will have to do for now!

I cant run 100 miles, visit offices just for internet connection, hehe so reliance speed up the connection, more bandwidthhhh needed in sikkim!!!!! have to stick with reliance until i am not lazy enough to visit offices, that may happen next year!

    adios amigos

You just need to give a written application with address proof attached. May be the employees at your place are not helpful. Do try after a few days.

I am not from BSNL. But I have BSNL connection and can tell you that only a address proof is required. Not sure why the staff is playing with you.

Airtel has some good plans too. Some of them much better than BSNL. But they are not available everywhere.

    @arunman
IF you have a BSNL land line connection in any other State ( without broadband connection. (not needed)
In India, get a Prepaid Broadband connection of BSNL
( lowest value ) and try with your existing Bsnl telephone in Sikkim.
( your Reliance ADSL modem can be used )
See details of pre paid tariff etc in link/s given below.
Sikkim seems to be under WEST Bengal Circle.
Bsnl Sikkim web site is under construction and , so
    unable to give more details.

    Para Two:
Also send an ONLINE complaint here.
    http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp
Say unable to get Broadband connection in GANGTOK.

    Feedback please.

    thanks man!

I read some of the reviews, it takes 1 to 2 months for account to activate!

and some when the lose connection, takes a lot of time to reconnect, but I'm browsing internet for better service, I'll find 1 soon, ill pay good money if I get high speed!

if bsnl had better customer care, things would have been better!

thanks help well taken! pats on the back/ thanks man!

    @arunman
Please confirm you have a BSNL landline connection at your present location in Gangtok Sikkim.
Sorry for troubling you again, but just want to try whether Prepaid BB
    connection will/can/should/may/ work in SIKKIM.
    wait.....

    Thanks for the reply.
Your difficulty seems to be to give an Address proof in Gangtok.
There is a provision, where the Landlord/lady can give a consent letter for a landline and BB connection to his/her tenant.
    Para two:
For all your Mobile phones Photo and Address proof might have been provided by you. ( which is "MUST" due to security reasons )

When you give an address proof, BSNL technical staff have to check whether a landline telephone connection is possible/feasible in your locality. ( may be A WLL connection ?)
To avoid all the above just send an "ONLINE" complaint and
give your cellphone as contact number. some response possible.

yes he told me 1650 or 1700, first charge, providing adress and info isnt a problem, but voter id and all that, haha i need atleast a month to provide all that, and yes landline is possible, all over gangtok, and im in middle of the city so yea!

he gave one form to my mom, and said lots of additional info required and stuff, I didnt run this much for reliance, just few info and walla! and said to my mom wait atleast a month for connection to be activated!

    now u decide

Noted. Update , when something happens !
A prepaid BB card obtained by your friend/relative can be used in any BSNL landline in any location in INDIA. You need the Id PW (and acct number details.)
No charges to the person providing the L/L connection.
