Default How to check Broadband usage---new pls read

    Hi everyone.
Bsnl has changed the broadband usage website. everytime you log in it shows a link to this website

    BSNL Customer Care Portal

I am sick of BSNL. how do i register again.
    what is customer number?
I have only consumer number in my telephone bill and it dont accept my broadband user id. so i think consumer number is different from customer id.
now how to find customer id?

You are eligible for a Portal id and password, make sure you have got it from your exchange.Portal id and password is different from consumer id and consumer number!Always you have to enter unique portal id and passord of your account to check the usage.
And ya have you visited BSNL Portal checking usage?

The consumer number is shown in your Telephone bill.
    usually a 10 digit number.

When you register in selfcare site you use a different Id say prince5 and the password will be sent to the email address you provide.
Then later you can log in using prince5 and PW.
Presume your location is Hyderabad or any other town listed
    in BSNL Portal scroll message.
Now there are 4 self care sites.

    Para two:
Download this application to check your usage wef from july 1st.
Bandwidth monitor, bandwidth speed test, bandwidth and traffic monitoring tool for Windows

In the meantime use shaplus meter or networX application to keep track of your usage.

    IF
you are in Jharkhand and your location is not listed in any of the four self care web sites

    THEN
Use 14digitportalID/PW ( for usageportal) TO LOG IN.

    ELSE
give the error message you get

    GO TO

Download this application and keep track of your usage.

NU can be recorded or not recorded as per your choice.
    use Blue block time.

    Hello,
I have the same problem as well. According to the portal my area comes under sdc.
The consumer no. on my bill is 15digits. The selfcare(sdc) registration site opens only in IE.
It says my bb user id is invalid. I've entered it in username@bsnl.in format. I've tried it without the '@bsnl.in' part also. No luck.

You should enter the USERID and PW
( which you use to connect to Internet)
In "dialer" Mode in a window in computer.
In PPP/PPPoE "Always On" connection in WAn page of modem.

    2. if you mention your location may be someone else from same town/city can respond guide you.

If your city is listed for selfcare site then try this:

First on the log in page register as existing customer(link is provided for that).
Enter any desired USER NAME and fill rest of the form.Submit.
Then it will tell you that you will get password in your email account.
    Don't wait for those @$#%s.

You call 1500 and tell them you've registered at Selfcare and need password.
They will verify your identity and provide you with temporary password.
Then you can unlock your account using USER NAME and that password.

Once you have logged in check usage in My Services.

bsnl portal usage checking not working .......
usual complaint in first week of the month.
try after two or three days.
http;//data.bsnl.in shows billed usage of June 2010.
for July both billed/unbilled " records Not available "

    Para two;
use this application as standby usage meter.
    http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/
If you have U/L NU plan check Blue boxes in settings.
Gives daily/hourly/weekly/monthly data for a single computer.
( VOIP will not be recorded 0.
compare with bsnl portal for accuracy.
    Feedback.
